Its truly been too long since my last journal entry, but as always i return with a brief update on myself, and a selection of juicy tid bits and or resources for my
deviant brethren..
ME
Me and my significant other have had 4 months thus far to settle into our apartment.
lil to no furniture still, but "home is where the art is"....

huh, what do you mean you didn't order the double cheeseburger.

I attended PAX 09 this year with some friends. Seattle is kool, friendly people, lots of hills, and crepes...delicious.
i enjoyed Pax, but will admit i was kinda expecting more to see their yet still a great gathering of gamers, and displays (ill post some pics eventually
I've got a lot brewing conceptually concerning art and career plans, but for now ill say the following

I've decided that character design will continue to be my focus. I want to continue my studies and character work diving deeper and deeper into what i means to create a character.

I will return to 3D modeling soon, (experimenting, with Modo, will have to bite the bullet and learn 3ds though, still adore wings 3D though)

Anatomy Grid (my side project) will more likely will fade away, on the bright side it will be revived in my future plans to develop a extensive online video catalog revolving around character design, sooo excited, but its a way down the line.
Links
Freelance switch is the shit. Don't take my use of profanity as a lack of creativity, its simply the shit, ive featured it before, but Ive recently discovered its podcast area. this community is were you need to be if you plan to go somewhere with your art.

SumoPaint is one of the best online digital imaging applications out there, totally free, and can be compared to a makeshift Photoshop if needed

PixelJoint is another art community i stumble on a while ago, i haven't poked around much yet but it grabbed my attention.

Product design hub is a hot spot for any and all aspiring and professional designers as well as concept artists, lots to learn here, I believe you need to create an account to access tutorials and forums, but its free.

Similar to Creature spot, Concept Ships showcases professional works of the ship kind, really impressive stuff here
Last but not least a look into Photoshop Cs5
